Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant application has succeeded. No competitive exam is needed for this category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP cooking certificate
The profile they look for:
- CAP cooking certificate, with HACCP training.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety and food safety control plans.
- Culinary basics and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, nutrition and fresh produce.
- Ability to work in a team and manage kitchen staff.
- Use of stock management software and office tools.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
