Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the post is open to an entry-level category C grade.

Diploma: CAP cooking qualification
The profile they look for:
- Holds a CAP cooking qualification.
- Knows hygiene and safety rules and the HACCP plan.
- Solid cooking basics and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of diet and fresh-product cooking.
- Able to lead and motivate kitchen staff.
- Uses stock management software and office tools.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
