Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Category C driving licence required.
- Awareness of risks on roadworks sites, SS4 and AIPR certifications.
- Ability to read a synoptic plan.
- Careful, safe driving and respect for the highway code.
- Some knowledge of wastewater and storm water networks.
- Team spirit, good organisation and rigour.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
