Civil servants (by secondment) and contract staff can apply. The post is open at territorial engineer grade.
Category: Category A (executive)
Diploma: Bac+5 in hydraulics, hydrology, natural risk management, environment or equivalent
Experience: Experience wanted in a PAPI post or as a risks project officer
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of PAPI, GEMAPI and dyke systems
- Solid basics in river hydraulics, flood management and crisis management
- Ability to manage studies and service providers
- Office software skills; GIS essential
- Good relations with elected officials, teams and partners
- Ability to explain technical topics simply
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence (permis B) essential.
- Regular travel across the area and occasionally in the wider region.
- Occasional availability in the evenings and at weekends for meetings.
- Post vacant from 1 November 2026. Remote work not possible.
