Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant has applied.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: DEAP (childcare assistant diploma) or early childhood educator diploma
Experience: Significant experience in early childhood care, ideally in a childminder support role
The profile they look for:
- DEAP with experience in early childhood care, or an early childhood educator diploma
- Know the job and rules of childminders (assistants maternels)
- Know the needs and development stages of young children
- Be able to run interviews and lead meetings
- Be a good listener, teacher and independent user of Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
