- Good knowledge of public policy and the legal framework for local authorities
- Able to lead meetings and negotiate with elected officials and partners
- Strong analysis and summary skills
- Knowledge of public funding sources (EU funds, rural contracts)
- Knowledge of administrative, budget and financial procedures
- Independent, quick to react and a good team player
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
