Diploma: Master's degree in ecology, water management, environmental issues or equivalent
The profile they look for:
- Master's degree in ecology, water management or environment
- Knowledge of environmental rules and of rivers and watercourses
- Knowledge of local authorities and how they work
- Rigour and method
- Good writing, analysis and summary skills
- Driving licence (permis B) essential
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Remote work possible after a 4-month integration period
- Occasional evening meetings
- Driving licence (permis B) essential
