Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the post is open to an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know urban planning and land regulations.
- Master urban planning and development tools.
- Award contracts to design and study offices.
- Mobilise and coordinate external partners.
- Work independently and take responsibility.
- Be able to supervise a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. The offer also asks you to send your CV and cover letter by post to the commune.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
