The profile they look for:
- Know the bodies and decision processes of local authorities.
- Master urban planning rules: regulatory, operational and land.
- Know how partnership agreements and contracts are set up.
- Write administrative, legal and technical documents.
- Have good people skills and strong writing skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
