Civil servants must belong to a category A civil service body. Contract staff must hold a law diploma with at least four years of study after the baccalauréat and be at category A level.
Category: Category A (executive)
Diploma: Bachelor's degree (licence) or equivalent in law or political science. For contract staff: a law diploma with at least four years of higher education after the baccalauréat.
Experience: No experience required; experience in the legal field is valued.
The profile they look for:
- Very good knowledge of economic and financial criminal law.
- Strong skills in analysis, argument, writing and summary.
- Good command of Excel and legal research tools.
- Rigour, discretion and teamwork.
- Reactivity, ability to report and public service mindset.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
