Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired, because the job is open to an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP Early Childhood Educational Assistant (or ATSEM competitive exam)

- CAP Early Childhood Educational Assistant diploma, or ATSEM competitive exam.
- Know how children develop from age 2.
- Apply hygiene and safety rules.
- Be a good listener, handle conflicts and communicate well.
- Be independent, responsible, discreet and patient.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
