Civil servants and contract agents can apply. The post is open to the grades of ATSEM principal 1st class and ATSEM principal 2nd class.

Diploma: CAP accompagnement éducatif petite enfance (AEPE)
The profile they look for:
- Hold the CAP AEPE diploma (former CAP petite enfance).
- Have basic knowledge of child psychology and hygiene.
- Behave and dress in a way that suits an early childhood setting.
- Work well in a team with the teacher and the service head.
- Have good listening and communication skills.
- Show a sense of responsibility and initiative.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- School hours: 8:20-17:20 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:20-12:20 on Wednesday.
- During school holidays: 8:00-13:00, Monday to Friday.
- Wearing PPE and using mechanical cleaning equipment is required.
- The start date (1 September 2026) is before the application deadline (20 November 2026) shown in the offer.
