Civil servants and contract staff can apply. The job is open to the grades of ATSEM principal 1st and 2nd class. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant has applied successfully.

Diploma: CAP petite enfance (early childhood care certificate)
The profile they look for:
- Hold the CAP petite enfance diploma.
- Be a titular ATSEM (passed the ATSEM competitive exam).
- Understand child development from age 2.
- Apply basic hygiene and safety rules.
- Listen well, handle conflicts and communicate.
- Have good physical stamina and a sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours follow the school calendar, with annualised working time.
- Long periods standing and walking around.
- Vaccinations must be up to date and strict personal hygiene is required.
- Position vacant from 1 February 2027.
