Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a competitive exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP early childhood qualification or CAP early childhood educational support, or ATSEM competitive exam
The profile they look for:
- ATSEM competitive exam or CAP early childhood qualification (or CAP early childhood educational support).
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to listen to children.
- Punctuality, rigour, independence and adaptability.
- Good interpersonal skills and professional discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Grades open: ATSEM principal 1st or 2nd class, or technical assistant.
