Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. As an exception, recognised disabled workers can also be hired by contract.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know how children develop from age 2.
- Know the hygiene and safety rules for children.
- Be able to welcome, listen to and negotiate with families.
- Know the programme and goals of nursery school.
- Be able to estimate needs for equipment and products.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
