Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired, because the post is category C and open at entry grades.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced candidate requested.
The profile they look for:
- Know how to support child development from age 2.
- Apply hygiene and safety rules.
- Be able to suggest games and activities that build children's skills.
- Handle conflicts well and communicate clearly.
- Be well organised.
- Be independent, responsible, discreet and patient.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your application by email to the town hall, at the address given in the offer. You can also apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Hours may be regular or split, often compatible with part-time work.
- The offer mixes ATSEM duties and cleaning tasks: check the duties with the town hall.
