Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.

Diploma: CAP Early Childhood Educational Assistant (AEPE)
The profile they look for:
- Know hygiene and safety rules.
- Know children's needs.
- Know cleaning techniques and cleaning products.
- Get along well with children.
- Have good interpersonal skills and a team spirit.
- Be able to receive and pass on instructions in writing.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Fixed working hours spread over the school year.
- Leave and time off must be taken during school holidays.
- Possible assignment to another facility during school holidays.
- May need to be available beyond normal hours during busy periods.
