Open to civil servants by transfer or secondment, to holders of the adjoint administratif competitive exam, and to contract staff. A person without a civil service exam can apply and become a territorial civil servant after one year in the job.

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
