Civil servants in the artistic teaching assistant grades can apply. Contract staff can also apply, when no civil servant application has succeeded.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: State diploma (DE) in music theory, or an equivalent
Experience: Ideally, experience in a regional-level conservatoire of similar size
The profile they look for:
- Hold the State diploma (DE) in music theory, or an equivalent
- Have recognised teaching and artistic skills
- Work on an innovative, interdisciplinary teaching project
- Know the artistic and professional network well
- Enjoy teamwork and have good people skills
- Be organised and available
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time (20/20 over 36 weeks)
- Hours mostly in the evening, on Wednesdays and on Saturdays, during school time
- Possible cover for a colleague in the same subject
- A laptop and the conservatoire's instruments are provided
