Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners welcome
The profile they look for:
- Caring about children's needs and well-being.
- Able to supervise a group of children.
- Energetic, creative and ready to suggest activities.
- Punctual and good with people.
- Available Monday to Friday, except Wednesday, during school terms.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time: 9 hours 31 minutes a week, averaged over the year, from 11:30 to 14:00 at lunchtime.
- Meals provided by the municipal canteen (benefit in kind).
- Weekly meeting on Friday from 9:15 to 11:00.
