Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade of category C does not require an exam.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Good people skills, listening and teaching ability.
- Able to communicate, persuade and speak in public.
- Good environmental awareness.
- Good knowledge of internet, Word and Excel.
- Independent, organised, punctual and able to report back.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Based in Bénesse-Maremne, with travel across the whole Sitcom territory.
- Driving licence (permis B) required.
- Frequent work on weekends or at unusual hours for markets.
- Position vacant from 1 December 2026.
