Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the adjoint d'animation grade (category C) is an entry grade.

Diploma: BAFA required, or an equivalent childcare qualification (such as CAP Petite enfance or STAPS)
Experience: Experienced: prior work in a similar job

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- Holidays taken during school holidays, by full week
- Must return in the last week of August
