Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, as the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of the local area and the town council.
- Good people skills, with listening and patience.
- Sense of initiative, and ability to work in a team and network.
- Knowledge of communication techniques on social networks.
- Artistic taste, useful for website creation.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send a cover letter and CV by post to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
