Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: BAFA, BAFA trainee, or equivalent
The profile they look for:
- BAFA diploma, BAFA trainee, or equivalent.
- Know child development and children's needs.
- Listen carefully, anticipate and manage conflicts.
- Follow managers' instructions and rules.
- Write educational projects.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 8 (Closes in 10 days)
Apply through the employer's website, from the offer on Choisir le Service Public. You can also send your CV and cover letter by email to the city's human resources team.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- No management role and no remote work.
