Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the post is open to an entry-level grade of category C.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: BAFA, BAPAAT, CAP AEPE or BAFD (or in progress)
The profile they look for:
- Hold a BAFA, BAPAAT, CAP AEPE or BAFD, or be in the process of getting one.
- Know the childhood sector and its rules.
- Know the educational values of public service: secularism, citizenship, public service spirit.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: December 1 (Closes in 34 days)
Send your CV and cover letter to the Mayor, by email to the address given in the offer. You can also apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category B post (intermediate profession).
- Duties during after-school time, on Wednesdays and/or school holidays, depending on your availability.
