Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.

The profile they look for:
- Able to supervise a group of children and plan educational activities.
- Well organised and able to work on your own.
- Good team player and discreet, which is essential.
- Knows hygiene and safety rules.
- Knows cleaning techniques and cleaning products.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Annualised working time: 20.25 hours out of 35 per week.
- Outside school term: 16 hours of cleaning in the childcare rooms.
