Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competition can be hired directly, as the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: One or more parts of the BAFA wanted (or equivalent)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of children as a public and of the rules in force.
- One or more parts of the BAFA, or an equivalent.
- Able to build and lead activity projects with a group of children.
- Able to adapt activities to different audiences.
- Rigour, independence and a sense of responsibility.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- The job is vacant from 1 January 2027.
- A CV and a cover letter are mandatory; without them, the application will not be considered.
- The job includes trips to the swimming pool, where the staff member is in the water with the children, following the rules.
