Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: BAFA, BAFD, BPJEPS, BAPAAT, CAP petite enfance, licence in education sciences, or equivalent
The profile they look for:
- Holds the BAFA, BPJEPS or an equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of Jeunesse et Sport regulations.
- Availability and strong ability to adapt.
- Initiative and creativity.
- Good listening and people skills, and teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Irregular schedule: broken working hours, long days during school holidays.
- In nursery schools: long periods standing or crouching, carrying children.
- High noise levels (crying, shouting), depending on the place.
- Remote work not possible.
