Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the adjoint d'animation grade is an entry grade in category C.

Diploma: BAFA, BAFD, BPJEPS, BAPAAT, CAP petite enfance, or licence in education sciences, or equivalent
The profile they look for:
- Holds the BAFA, BPJEPS, CAP petite enfance or an equivalent.
- Knowledge of Jeunesse et Sport regulations.
- Availability and strong ability to adapt.
- Sense of initiative and creativity.
- Good people skills, listening and teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's site from the official offer, or send your CV and cover letter to the town hall by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Unusual hours: split working time and long days during school holidays.
- In nursery schools, the job involves long periods standing, crouching and carrying children.
- It can be noisy (crying, shouting) and there is a risk of infectious agents, especially for pregnant women.
