Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. The grades concerned are technical assistant, principal technical assistant 2nd class and principal technical assistant 1st class.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Bac level. Composting master training is a plus, in progress or already completed.
The profile they look for:
- Holds a grade in the territorial technical assistant group, or direct recruitment possible
- Good knowledge of gardening and composting
- Comfortable speaking to varied audiences in a clear way
- Good command of office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Driving licence B essential
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Availability needed at lunchtime, early evening and weekends, depending on the service’s needs.
- Good physical fitness required (carrying heavy loads, walking).
- Start dates on 1 January 2027, and one on 1 March 2027.
