Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired, because the adjoint d'animation grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: B.A.F.A., CPJEPS, BPJEPS (obtained or in progress) or CAP petite enfance.
Experience: 2 years of experience as a childcare activity agent.
The profile they look for:
- B.A.F.A., CPJEPS or BPJEPS, obtained or in progress, or CAP petite enfance.
- 2 years of experience as a childcare activity agent.
- Driving licence B required.
- Good listening, communication and teamwork skills.
- Kind towards children, and firm when needed.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Travel across the whole territory is required.
- Early, late and irregular hours, with more hours during school holidays.
- Driving licence B required.
- Remote work is not possible.
