Civil servants and contract staff can apply. The grades concerned are aide-soignant of normal class and of higher class.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of geriatrics and support for elderly people.
- First aid skills, safe movement and posture.
- Respect for residents' dignity and good care practices.
- Listening, empathy and professional discretion.
- Rigour, observation and organisation skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
