Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: DEAS or DEAES (state diplomas)
The profile they look for:
- DEAS (nursing assistant state diploma) or DEAES (social and educational support state diploma).
- Knowledge of older people and the effects of ageing.
- Knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases.
- Knowledge of hygiene, ergonomics and safety rules.
- Active listening and a sense of responsibility.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 21 (Closes in 20 days)
Apply on the employer's website or send your application by email to the human resources department of Somain town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Work during the day, at weekends, and at night when covering for absences.
- Category C.
