Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Training in green spaces, roads or public works, or significant experience
Experience: Beginners accepted. Experience in public space upkeep is a plus.
The profile they look for:
- Know common upkeep methods for green spaces or roads.
- Use tools and equipment safely and according to instructions.
- Do simple maintenance and small masonry jobs.
- Be independent, rigorous and available.
- Have a public service mindset and work well in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B required. Heavy goods vehicle licence is a plus.
- Two full-time posts, 35 hours per week.
- No remote work. No management role.
