Civil servants (permanent staff) and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a public competition can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know how to set up work site protection and signage.
- Skills in small masonry, road and drainage works, and bitumen work.
- Knowledge of safety and risk management for users of public areas.
- Physically able to lift heavy loads and work outdoors.
- Public service mindset and respect for rules and working hours.
- Driving licence category B required; heavy vehicle licence and CACES certificates valued.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Two similar posts are open.
- Driving licence category B required; heavy vehicle licence and CACES certificates valued.
- On-call duty and event missions on public areas are possible.
- Posts may be offered in other territories of the directorate (west, east, north, south).
