Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, for the adjoint technique grades (category C).
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Confirmed experience.
The profile they look for:
- Know the hygiene rules for group catering.
- Know the safety rules for looking after children in a group.
- Be able to talk calmly and manage tense situations.
- Know basic first aid steps.
- Use cleaning products correctly.
- Public service mindset, discretion, team spirit and punctuality.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Split hours with variable length.
- Annualised working time: leave must be taken during school holidays.
- Physical strain and bending, at a fast pace.
