Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP, BEP or BP in building, building maintenance with electrical speciality, or in roads
The profile they look for:
- CAP, BEP or BP training in building or roads.
- Driving licence B required; licence E and electrical authorisation are a plus.
- Public service mindset and team spirit.
- Knowledge of hygiene, prevention and safety rules.
- Able to read plans, diagrams and technical instructions.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time job over 4 days.
- Paid on-call duty and availability outside normal hours.
- Driving licence B required.
- Training possible to build skills.
