Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Confirmed (experienced) level
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available, with sometimes irregular or shifted hours.
- Travels all the time between work sites.
- Comfortable with frequent contact with elected officials and residents.
- Able to cope with physical work: carrying loads, standing for long periods.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Job vacant from 1 January 2027.
- Remote work is not possible.
- Physically demanding work: noise, dangerous products, irregular hours and strong seasonal peaks.
- The job does not include managing a team.
