Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. Passing the ATSEM competitive exam is required for a permanent appointment to a vacant post.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP AEPE (or having 3 children)
Experience: Three years with children aged 3 to 6
The profile they look for:
- Hold the CAP AEPE, or have 3 children.
- Three years of experience with children aged 3 to 6.
- Know and apply safety rules.
- Ensure the well-being of the child.
- Know cleaning techniques for premises.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with one Wednesday morning worked per month.
- 25 days of annual leave, taken during school holidays.
- 75% of public transport or Vélo'v costs covered.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
