Civil servants and non-civil servants can apply. A contract worker may be hired when no civil servant application has succeeded; for a permanent appointment to this post, the ATSEM competitive exam is required.

Diploma: CAP AEPE, or having 3 children
Experience: Three years of experience with children aged 3 to 6

- Ensure the well-being of the child.
- Know cleaning techniques for premises.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working hours of 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with one Wednesday morning per month worked.
- 25 days of annual leave, taken during school holidays.
- 75% contribution towards public transport or Vélo'v.
