Open to civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff. A person without a competitive exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Level 3 diploma in catering
The profile they look for:
- Level 3 diploma in catering.
- Knowledge of hygiene, disinfection and safety.
- Knowledge of the Plan de Maîtrise Sanitaire and the nutrition decree.
- Methodical work organisation and good time management.
- Rigour, efficiency and ability to work in a team.
- Physical stamina and manual skill.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Mostly morning shifts, with one afternoon per week.
- Working hours span from 6am to 8pm.
- The lycée has a boarding school, with about 50 boarders morning and evening.
