Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be recruited, because the entry grade of category C allows direct hiring.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Level 3 diploma in hotel and catering, or recognised equivalent experience
The profile they look for:
- Level 3 diploma in hotel and catering, or recognised equivalent experience
- Knowledge of hygiene, disinfection and safety
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Good relationship skills with users
- Rigour, efficiency and ability to work in a team
- Physical stamina
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
