Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the job includes an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Level 3 qualification or diploma in cooking
The profile they look for:
- Level 3 qualification or diploma in cooking
- Knowledge of hygiene, disinfection and safety
- Knowledge of the food safety plan (PMS) and nutrition decree
- Mastery of cooking and plate presentation techniques
- Ability to report to your manager
- Ability to work in a team and handle unexpected problems
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Open grades: adjoint technique and agent de maîtrise (category C).
