Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experience in a similar job wanted (confirmed level).
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of road works and green space work.
- Knowledge of green space and road equipment, and safety rules.
- Driving licence B required; licence C strongly preferred.
- Independent, rigorous, team-minded and committed to public service.
- Good physical fitness to work at any time.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's site, or send your cover letter and CV to the town hall, by post or by email, before the deadline.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time, 37 hours per week, with 12 RTT days per year.
- Winter on-call from 15 November to 15 March, and road on-call from 16 March to 14 November.
- Remote work is not possible.
- Vacant from 1 January 2027; start as soon as possible.
