Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly at this entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Very good physical fitness.
- Versatility, availability and quick reaction.
- Team spirit and a sense of public service.
- Rigorous, independent and follows safety rules.
- Driving licence B required; BE licence an advantage.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 5 (Closes in 4 days)
Send your cover letter and CV by email to the town's HR department, or by post to the Mayor. The offer also says you can apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Driving licence B required; occasional availability on weekends and public holidays.
- Benefits: basic salary, bonus scheme, 13th month, meal vouchers and holiday vouchers.
