Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C. Grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 2nd or 1st class.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Understand and follow workplace safety rules.
- Plan and organise tasks by priority and time needed.
- Be strong enough to carry heavy loads.
- Have a sense of public service and good people skills.
- Be able to diagnose a problem and suggest a fix.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 19 (Closes in 18 days)
Apply on the employer's website, from the offer on Choisir le Service Public. Send your cover letter to the Mayor.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B required; BE licence would be a plus.
- Works 4.5 days per week.
- No remote work. Possible membership of the CNAS.
- Technical on-call duty and variable hours.
