Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP/BEP electrician, BP electrical installations, Bac Pro electrotechnics or equivalent
Experience: Experience in building electrical work, maintenance and repairs wished for
The profile they look for:
- Training in electricity: CAP/BEP, BP, Bac Pro or equivalent.
- Driving licence category B.
- Electrical authorisation B1 B2 BR CB wished for.
- Experience in building electrical work wished for.
- Knowledge of standards for buildings open to the public.
- Quick reaction in emergencies and care with safety.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time: 36h15 per week and 7.5 RTT days per year.
- On-call duty about 6 times a year, gross flat fee of 159.20 € per duty.
- Work possible on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays for town events.
