Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade is category C.

The profile they look for:
- Know building maintenance techniques (painting, carpentry, electrical work).
- Know how to use different types of tools and equipment.
- Know safety rules.
- Show versatility, rigour and independence.
- Enjoy working alone and in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- On-call duty of about one week every six weeks.
- Possible credit for previous service seniority.
- Social benefits: COS and insurance cover paid at 60%.
