Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly for a category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Technical knowledge of building trades; masonry experience is a plus.
- Good people skills and a sense of public service.
- Independent, punctual and able to work in a team.
- Knowledge of safety rules on building sites.
- Valid driving licence (permit B) required.
- One or more CACES certificates would be a plus.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time, 1607 hours per year, with annualised hours.
- 25 days of paid leave per year.
- Valid driving licence (permit B) required.
