Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the entry grade of category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of road safety rules and road signage.
- Knowledge of pruning, tree trimming and mowing techniques.
- Knowledge of rules for handling plant protection products.
- Basic knowledge of second-fix building work and mechanics.
- Works independently, reacts quickly and makes proposals.
- Sense of public service and discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-12pm and 1:15pm-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
- No management responsibility.
